Dear Readers;
Alastair and Morgan got married on a lovely hot dry Saturday in August. The photos from their wedding have just arrived from their photographer and along with that show I have decided to provide a short narrative. 143 guests attended and everyone was included in the open bar package. They chose to add our cushions to every chair as well as having us make gelato as part of their late night snack along with pizzas.
But that was too short of a synopsis - lets back up a bit - click HERE and then you can follow along. The bride and groom did some of their pre-wedding preparation at a private home in the County. When they arrived a quartet was softly playing classical music at our pondsite. Drew had done an amazing job of decorating the ceremony site. We hadn't seen lining the outline of the trellis with a floral garland before but the effect was quite striking. The use of rose petals and a carpet/runner added additionally to the unique set up. Carolin Grondin acted as the officiant and can now be found on our officiant list.
After the cermony guests were greeted in the sheepshed with a signature cocktail of the brides choice and appetizers served by the caterer. Then everyone moved into the barn where a long head table had been setup on the main floor surrounded by round tables. The couple had also asked us to wire 4 chandaliers into place - something we hadn't been asked to do before - but the very effective results are found in the slide show as well.
And with that, we would like to extend best wishes to Morgan and Alastair from everyone here at Fields on West Lake.
Cheers!
