Tempting Providence July 26th to July 30th - 9 shows

Written by Robert Chafe - Tempting Providence tells the story of Myra Bennet, a young British nurse who arrives on the rugged shores of Newfoundland in 1921.  No roads, no electricity, no doctors for miles. She signed on for a year and stayed a lifetime. It is a spell-binding tale of strength and heroism told with humour and elegant simplicity.  It plays in our theatre - the barn.  Contact the Festival Players of Prince Edward for more details - or call 866.584.1991.  Or contact us for our own theatre and bed and breakfast packages - starting at $160 per couple for theatre and an over night stay - breakfast included of course!

For the fourth year Fields on West Lake participated in this great season opening event.  Again this year, it was held in the Barn - Osterhout Henry Hall - the Bid Red Barn if you wish - fresh waffles cooked to order, sausages, lots of fruit, and of course County Maple Syrup..we served over 500 very happy visitors - will you be one of them next spring?

We were thrilled to find this photo taken behind our Hall at our first wedding of 2009.  Thank you to the photographers at Artagepictures.
